FAMILY IS EVERYTHING... 

Family is the foundation of Dandi Gundogs. Animals - especially Dogs, have always played an important role in our lives; Jake has enjoyed hunting since as far back as he can remember!  He was raised in Eastern MT and took advantage of every opportunity that he had hunting in Big Sky Country!  He grew up with German Shorthair Pointers and enjoyed every aspect of field trial events that he did with his Dad!  Jake moved to ND for college in 2004 and has called ND his home ever since! He is an amazing dog trainer and is always fixing/building something for us!

 

I was born and raised in ND. I grew up on a farm NW of Dickinson with lots of animals; Dogs, Cows, Chickens and Horses taught me how to work hard and how to love even harder! We live just two miles from the farm I grew up on and I feel so lucky to be able to spend time there with my children today.  My family still owns and operates the farm & even though they are busy with their own animals, they still find time to help with ours;  A big THANKS goes out to my brother and sister in law, Rusty & Aly and my Mom, Cindi - who take care of the dogs whenever we need them! They love our dogs as if they were their own and their help and support is truly a blessing!

We are a busy family! Our boys play multiple sports, and when we are not busy taking them to practice, or watching their games, we are at the lake fishing or in the field hunting. We hunt deer & antelope - Jake enjoys returning to MT to Elk hunt and I even harvested a ND Moose in 2018... but bird hunting is probably our favorite! We get to hunt right from our backdoor! We have five acres we call our own, and are surrounded by family land = acres upon acres of farmland & tree rows! Our dogs live life to the fullest! If they are not training or hunting - they are "manning the outfield" during batting practice, playing catch, gardening and exploring with us. Cuddles with them on the couch are our favorite!

 

Although our lives don't allow time for livestock or field trials currently,  we know that partnering with our dogs has been the best decision we have ever made! In the field and for our family - our dogs are our world!
